Michel Ferreira
Design leadership and mentorship to empower innovation

Over the last two decades, I built a career as a design leader acting in several areas:
Designer crafting meaningful experiences
Coach guiding and nurturing talent
Mentor fostering growth in UX and Design Systems
Public Speaker sharing insights globally
Writer exploring diverse narratives
Podcaster hosting engaging discussions
Diversity Advocate championing inclusive design
Experience in innovation
Currently, a Senior Product Designer at Atlassian, where I contribute to pioneering projects that redefine user experiences.
But my journey didn't start there – I've left my mark at global giants like Shopify in Canada, where I spearheaded the development of the Shopify Fulfilment Network, and Booking.com in the Netherlands, where I shaped mobile web experiences, apps, and the post-booking and Genius Experience.
Mentorship & Engagement
Beyond my corporate roles, I'm committed to mentorship as a guiding force for Dribbble's Scaling Design Systems course, Springboard and Careerfoundry, training the next generation of UX and product designers. Additionally, I host the Latinxs Who Design Podcast and curate captivating content on the Multimichel Youtube channel.
Inclusive by design
As a writer and public speaker, I've traversed the globe, sharing my insights and ideas at prestigious conferences and in various publications, including Medium.
Engage with my latest discussions, where I explore design inclusivity and societal influence with design experts like Jay Demetillo, known for his rich experience across major tech hubs.
